The entrance of your word brings light, it imparts understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130). In a broken society we need the light of the gospel to impart understanding to the decision makers in positions of authority. For years we have been implementing political correctness and handing over authority to children and young people. Those children and young people who were given the opportunity to challenge the authority of their parents are now challenging the authority of state, the very people who air brushed discipline out of the vocabulary of our corporate parents. I strongly believe in the 5 outcome of the every child matters agenda, I also believe strongly in the fundamental pillars of respect and manners. Without these building blocks our society will go from bad to worse. So how can we stop this decline? We need the light of the gospel to be shone in every crevasse of society so that those in positions of authority can have the understanding and the wisdom to bring transformation which will transform generations. As we pray for our broken society let us ask God for strategies to start the healing process by rejoicing with those who rejoice and crying with those who are hurting. So today ‘let your light shine before others so that people can see your good works and give glory to our father in heaven’ – Jesus Christ A.D 31.
