As we uncover the lies about what really is truth!

Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread (Proverbs 30:8).

As we discussed some time ago, truths are the absolutes that remains unchanged over time. We believe that God is outside of time and therefore is not subjected to our machinations of conscious reflections about the fluidity of the absolutes that we encounter as frail humanity. Modernity will have us think that everything is relative even the scriptural principles that underpin our societal development. Even the pillars of faith established by God and re-established by Jesus are placed under the microscope of relativity for all to question and dissect as they will.  This has brought about a disconnect between what is absolute and what is relative. As humanity careered towards the precipice of oblivion and eternal damnation, God in his mercy made a way for all of us to be reconnected to him, in the full gaze of the evil one, thus establishing again the absolutes.

Lies are truths that are not fully revealed. The devil is referred to by the word, Jesus as the father of lies since he majors in twisting the truth. Relativity assumes that everything is relative to something else. God says that everything is relative to the word, Jesus. Once our actions, deeds and our words are held against the light of word then all our frailties are brought into the open.

Truths are absolute, the difficulty we have is how we understand it. For example, we are given several clear instructions about how to conduct meaningful relationships. We are to have one life partner who should be of the opposite sex. When this is violated then relational mayhem occurs. And the society and the values set out for a successful life are circumvented. If we follow the truth that is Jesus Christ, we will not get everything right, but will be guaranteed a place in eternity in heaven.
